Wow it’s 2015 already! My dear baby girl will be two this year! I do hope that 2015 is kinder to me than 2014 was. It was a good year but a very difficult one, what with my postpartum depression making a comeback, getting used to being a stay-at -home mom (which I so enjoy now :)), getting used to being a mom, period. Motherhood is so hard and it is only now, after 18 months that it has sunk in. I now know what I’m doing with Meera, my daughter. I’m not constantly in survival mode anymore.
2014 was like a strict teacher, hardly gave me time for myself. So, this year, I am going to focus a little more on myself. I’m going to take better care of my hair and skin. After all, looking good makes you feel good, doesn’t it? I will exercise more regularly, join that zumba class I’ve always wanted to, read more books, and generally be more positive about life.
I’m excited about this year because I will get to see my most favourite people, my parents, sister and brother-in-law….twice! Yayy! It’s going to be a good year, I just know it. So to usher in 2015, I made vegetable lasagna and focaccia bread with mug brownies. I put M to sleep and we watched a couple of Harry Potter movies. Also, we were lucky to get to watch fireworks from our own balcony! Hope you all had a good time on new year’s eve too!
Happy Happy Happy New year, everyone!
